You know that since it’s really hot you should come prepared for it

The first thing I’d like to recommend is… you should know about those ice packs right?

Portable ice packs? Sort of about the size of those portable rectangular-shaped heating pads

with liquid inside? For what I heard if you smash that thing it’s refreshing!

You need to buy 5 of those, 10 sounds good too !

Buy them but you must not do it just about every time it’s a little hot

And when it’s really…. very hot… I get too hot and annoyed and since I go crazy

it makes me want to punch the person next to me, please use these* when it’s hot

And freeze your water bottles well and be prepared for 2~3 hours

and preparing tissues too would be good, without bothering the person next to you who feels hot**

Fashion business group E-Land announced its challenge with Japan’s UNIQLO with the launch of the global SPA brand “SPAO”. Produced based on SPA product plans, it’s the first time that a domestic fashion company is using the method of direct distribution and announcing a brand like “Global SPA”. E-Land’s “SPAO” was created by adding the english initial letter “O” (from “Original, OK, Oasis”) to “SPA”.

E-Land’s vice president Park Seungkyung said at a press conference on the 15th: “Fast planning, global sourcing and by concentrating in the gained capabilities of E-Land for the last 30 years, we’ve prepared “SPAO” since 2006. The first store with a space of 3300 m^2 will open in Seoul Myeongdong in October.” The goal is to achieve sales of 15,000,000,000 won with 5 stores this year and 1,000,000,000,000 won with 100 stores in 2012.

“SPAO” represents the “Korean UNIQLO”. With the same direct manufacturing method like UNIQLO does with the basic style, it maintains the quality and the prize level will be 20% cheaper compared to UNIQLO with prizes like 9900 won for a T-shirt, 25900 won for a shirt, 29900 won for a sweater, denim. Furthermore, designs and color tones matching Korean’s figure were emphasized and the strategy is to cover all the age groups with 11 separate categories, from children to middle age.

E-Land plans to raise the brand’s recognition and the design competition by working together with famous designers and running a star marketing. Especially with the establishment of a joint-venture company with SM Entertainment (E-Land 51%, SM 49%), it’ll advertise its products with So Nyuh Shi Dae, Super Junior as models and feature a “So Nyuh Shi Dae line” and a “Super Junior line”.

Vice president Park said: ” It provides the best capabilities to expand SPA with E-Land’s business strategy, and to aim at 3500 retail seller with about 50 brands and a low price strategy. With new releases of products every week and an independently built fast production system, I think that in 2011, we’ll leave UNIQLO behind in Korea.”

Super Junior Sungmin & The TRAX Jungmo had revealed their ideal girl type.

On the show MBC “Golden fishery – Radio star” which was aired on July 15th, the guests are “Oppa band” members : Tak Jaehoon, Shin Dongyup, Yoo Youngseok, Sungmin, Jungmo. MC Kim Gura said “There are 3 MCs that had married : Shin Dongyup, Nam Heeseok, Tak Jaehoon” and “their wives are PD, dentist, rich family’s daughter” and asked among them, who is your ideal girl type, Jungmo said “It’s a dentist. Since it’s good for me when I think about my old age in the future”. SMTOWN LIVE 09 will take place on 16th August from 5pm till 10 pm in SEoul JamSil Olympic stadium. The artistes from SM Entertainment like Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, Jang Ri In, So Nyeo Shi Dae, SHINee etc will be performing in front of their fans.

1. TALENT SPOT.
Even as competition between the many boy groups in Korea continues to sizzle, SJ is pulling away fast from their peers with their brand of jazzy dance tracks and musical versatility. This article is about Kangin, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk attended a music performance hold by Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on June 24th. The Seoul Police Agency choose 129 pupils from primary schools and junior high schools in Seoul, Kyungki, Incheon who have love and talent in singing/playing instruments but dont have chance/enough money to learn & teach them to play instrumental and make a wind orchestra.

The performance was started at 3.30PM but 3 members of Super Junior had arrived at 3.00PM, spent 10 minutes to talk with the kids about music.

I explained to them the purpose of this event, that there are many kids who love playing instrumentals but they cant study because there are so many expensive instrumentals, so we give the kids the instrumentals and the lesson until they can play them. Member Kangin said “It’s really a good thing. Actually, when I was young, when I saw someone playing the instrumental, I found it cool and also wanted to learn how to play, so I asked my parents but since instrumental is expensive, I couldnt learn. I hope there will be more and more kids have the chance to learn how to play them”

So I told them that those who teach the kids music are Police’s music band’s members and they’re very good in music which Leeteuk had smiled brightly and said it was good that the kid could learn music from the professional teachers and it was wonderful that the Police did this kind of thing.

Actually, I had thought before meeting Super Junior that they are all famous idol in Korea, they always attended large events, so they might feel annoyed when attending this. But after watching them the whole event, they were all bright and seemed to be very happy that they could attend an event for the kids.

After they came up to the stage, Kangin said “How do you think about music ? To me, music is the best prescription for those who is hurt/in sorrow, I think it will bring the energy to you. You guys have to learn how to play instrumental more hard, so that you can perform for your friends who are in more difficult status than you. We’ll look forward to your great perfomances. You also may become our friends. Is it OK ?” and all the kids had shouted in joy.

I know celebrities who attended the charity event or donated a lot but dont think they have enough time to especially think about the kids’ hope and dream like this time. But after seeing Super Junior, I was touched by the words from the bottom of their hearts. I hope to see more of their great activities in the future.

Arirang Showbiz Extra surveyed over 3000 members in 60 coutries including the USA, Vietnam, and Philippines to see who the top hallyu stars are and Super Junior came out on the top as Best Male singer of ‘09. They won 41.9% of the votes. 2nd Place goes to their best friends DBSK with 33.6%.

There has never been a Korean boyband like Super Junior, who has so thoroughly infiltrated your life before: you turn on the television and you will see their CFs on any channel.

According to the latest from China News, the number of products that Super Junior is currently endorsing is five. For a foreign boyband, they have already broken all records for foreign endorsers in China.

When you see them on the news as frequently as local boybands Fahrenheit and Lollipop, do you not think: how did they manage to sweep across the whole of China and mesmerize it?

Ten years ago, H.O.T started the boyband wave in China, and let them know the prowess of Korean boybands then. After that, both Shinhwa and Dong Bang Shin Ki continued the hallyu wave in China, becoming the idols that everyone strived to emulate.

If one had to say who is currently the most popular boyband in China, it has to be the extremely large roundup called Super Junior. Furthermore, the sub-unit SJ-M with Hankyung as its leader has won the hearts of many teenage girls in China.

They have opened up a new route for Korean stars in the Mainland.

Super Junior: the real all-rounded idols

After the successes of artistes such as H.O.T, Shinhwa, Dong Bang Shin Ki and BoA under its wing, the largest entertainment company in Korea, S.M Entertainment then started planning for a refreshing new group for fans.

On the 6th of November 2005, S.M Entertainment officially introduced their new boyband, a thirteen member group consisting of “flower boys”.

This was an important step towards the overseas market for S.M, and the sheer number of people in Super Junior already generated much attention that was needed for the group.

Talents are all-rounded; they’re not only singers

What made Super Junior stand out from the other boybands at that time was that they were comprised of thirteen members that specialized in different areas. They were singers, actors, comedians, composers, models and MCs (Master of Ceremonies, used here to refer to host/singers).

Once they had debuted, all thirteen members had the chance to showcase their own special talent.

One special, Chinese face

In this massive group however, one face stands out and is particularly striking. He is the Chinese member Hankyung (or Hangeng) that was picked via the H.O.T auditions in China during the 2001 edition. He is tall and handsome, and has vast talent in dancing.

Because of his appearance, Super Junior was destined to shine in the Chinese market.

From their first single, Super Junior’s road of fame has been relatively smooth. All of their lead singles from every one of their three albums have been chart-toppers, and they also have had two concert tours around Asia, causing a frenzy everywhere they toured. The members also have had good results in both hosting and acting as well.

Earlier this month, Super Junior appeared as guests for the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan, and they were ironically more popular than most of the other guests there. Their fans had been mobbing them ever since their touchdown in Taiwan, and they would not cease until SuJu’s departure.

Their popularity even led to the organizing unit specially planning a small copycat version of Super Junior, for more news coverage.

Super Junior-M: the China-focused Korean boyband

Because of Hankyung, more Chinese people now know about and like Super Junior. So at this point of time, S.M made an analytical business decision, and a risky one too: they created a sub-unit within Super Junior, just for the Chinese market.

With Hankyung as its leader, more Chinese members were added in and this is how the mesmerizing SJ-M has come to be.

The group with three Chinese members

The M in SJ-M stands for “Mandarin”, and it also represents that SJ-M will be focusing on the Chinese market as their main stage. Its members comprises of Hankyung, the leader and also the one with the highest popularity in China, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, four members from the original unit, two Chinese members were also added: Henry and Zhoumi.

Together they form the seven member SJ-M, and the presence of three Chinese members brings a stronger sense of familiarity for Chinese fans. They are the first boyband to have both Korean and Chinese members, and they are also the first group to train under a Korean entertainment company and enter the Chinese market with the intention of working hard to achieve their goal of being top stars there.

Chinese versions help to close the gap

The truth remains that despite the hallyu wave in China, there is not a shortage of boybands and pretty boys there, all with the ability to sing and dance well. However, SJ-M’s appearance still managed to wow the audience there.

SJ-M’s debut album’s lead single, , was the Chinese remake of the original Korean version that Super Junior had sung, and most of the Asian audience were already familiar with this song. It was rearranged by famed Korean composer Yoo Youngjin to include a New Jazz swing beat, and is more emotional than the original version.

21st Generation Idol Army

Super Junior Leeteuk got a kiss on the cheek from a female student.

On the show KBS2TV “Challenge ! Golden ladder” which was filmed at a Catholic university, the uni’s female student dance group had danced perfectly to 2NE1’s “Fire”. During the interview, one female student said “I have a more important reason to join this challenge than getting the scholarship” and revealed that “I was Leeteuk’s fan since high school”

After it, Leeteuk had danced “Sorry sorry” with the female student. Then, she whispered something with Leeteuk which made him blush and smile. She said “Oppa, can you give me just one kiss ?” and in the end, she got the chance to kiss Leeteuk on the cheek.

The show will be aired at 10.40AM on July 12th.

Super Junior Heechul and SNSD Sunny caught netizen’s attention as Sunny wore shoes that Heechul decorated to one of her recordings.

On the 5th Heechul posted a picture of shoes with the title ‘Happy Birthday Soonkyu’ in his personal blog. Soonkyu is Sunny’s legal name, and it was her birthday on May 15. On the 9th, MBC Radio ‘Shindong, Kim Shinyoung’s Shim Shim Ta Pa’ released many pictures of SNSD who were the guests of ‘Now it is Live Generation’ that day in their homepage. Out of the pictures the one that stood out most was Sunny’s individual photo. Along with her V-sign and her bright smile, we see Sunny wearing shoes that Heechul gave her. By wearing these shoes to the recording, Sunny fulfilled Heechul’s open demand.

When this picture was released to the public, netizens replied “I can’t believe you actually took pictures to prove it”, “You finally wore them”, “Sunny is happy because she got a brand name slippers from Heechul”, “Heechul who gave those shoes, and Sunny who actually wore them, are both very cute”, and couldn’t hide their laughter.

18 Boys' Journey

This winter, 5 boys, could do nothing but look at the country across the ocean even though they missed it. (dbsk was in Japan at that time, Japan is adjacent to Korea)

Year 1998

SJM Fanmeeting in August

SJM has formally signed contracts with OPPO, and will be holding a fanmeeting in August, Beijing around August 4th.

Oppo site is having a competition for the tickets and there are 5 ways to get tickets:

1. Freethrow, whoever makes the most in 30 seconds. 2 rounds a day, 10 people per group, 2 groups per round [8 tickets a day]
2. Same as above, only with those basketball game things [I think] 2 rounds, 10 people per group, 5 groups per round [10 tickets a day]
3. Answering questions, whoever gets 3 questions right will get a ticket, 2 hours per round, the round stops when 3 tickets are given out [12 tickets a day]
4. Cellphones… 1, Being able to type out a text message in the required time [using T9, which is a pain in the butt, especially for Chinese people, who aren't used to letters XD] will get a ticket. 3 rounds a day, 3 groups per round, 4 people per group. Ariel Injured and Donghae Helps

Eunhyuk Cried For A Cookie Bag

It had been said that Super Junior Eunhyuk had cried once in Japan because of a cookie bag.

On the show SBS “Yashimmanman 2″ which was aired on July 6th, Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Kangin, Yesung had been guests.

Leeteuk said “Once we had activity in Japan, we decided that we will buy ice-cream for each member, staff and manager. But then, instead of ice-cream, Eunhyuk took a cookie bag which I asked him ‘What are you doing ?’ and suddenly he cried”. Eunhyuk responsed “This was the first time in 10 years I heard Leeteuk yell at me” and “I just think it’s OK since cookies can be shared with everybody”.

Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk had revealed that there is a rule among SJ members that they cant like the others’ favorite female celebrities.

On the show SBS “Yashimmanman 2″ which was aired on July 6th, SJ members Leeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Eunhyuk had explained about that rule and also, talked about their ideal girl type.

Yesung’s ideal type is Moon Geun Young, Eunhyuk’s ideal type is Choi Jung Won, Kangin said he liked Jeon Ji Hyun so much that the other members even called her “sister-in-law” among them.

Especially Leeteuk had sent a video message to his favorite actress Han Ga In. He also told the whole story of the first time he met Han Ga In in a beauty salon 8 years ago.

“SJ” Super Junior’s Kibum is really just too loved by his fans! Popular South Korean boyband Super Junior were supposed to take their flight back to Korea yesterday, but due to a problem with the airplane’s deicer system, the 12 of them were stuck in the VIP waiting room for 6 hours, only successfully leaving in the evening, leading to the staff and security personel to nickname them as “The Longest Sending-Off In History”!

After the Golden Melody Awards on Saturday, Super Junior then proceeded to the Fuhsing branch of KiKi for their supper, and the Taiwanese branch of the recording company even specially arranged for a birthday celebration for Leeteuk, Heechul and Ryeowook, the July babies.

Less nervous after their performance, the twelve of them were extremely rowdy and played to their hearts’ content. Kangin even ran around scaring people with a string of party-poppers, and the party ended only at around 1 in the morning.

He then proceeded to Korea alone to begin his training in SM, and is now the leader of the sub-unit Super Junior M, which is focused on the Chinese music market.

Han Geng professed that this was actually his third time visiting Taiwan, the first being when he was a teen and a performer for an ethnic dance performance. He also expressed his wish for SJ-M to be able to promote in Taiwan someday.

Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae, and Seo Taiji ruled the top album sales for the first half of 2009

July 1, 2009 – Hanteo.com, central source of music sales ranking revealed that in the first half of year (Jan 1-June 27 2009) the artist who got the best sales is SUPER JUNIOR 3RD ALBUM

After its release on March 13, 2009 Super Junior with their 3rd album “Sorry, Sorry” had been very well received by fans that it sold over 109,000 copies. While SM Entertainment reported the sales had surpassed 200,000 albums.

Second place belongs to So Nyeo Shi Dae. Back on Jan 7 2009, they came out with ‘Gee’ which sold over 72,000 copies (SM reported over 100k) which is a great success for SNSD. On June 29, SNSD also released a new mini album “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)” which is also very well received in Korean music industry.

Third place goes to ‘President of ’90s culture’ like Seo Taiji. His 8th album’s second single ‘Atomos Part Secret’ was released on March 10 and sold over 59,000 copies.

Music Bank needs to Apologize

With regards to the “lighting structure incident”, KBS Music Bank production has expressed that they “will be more careful next time”, but this has not put a stop to the end of criticism.

On the 29th, KBS2TV Music Bank’s production team has talked about the safety of the structure in an interview with regards to the lighting structure incident that “At that time, the performers who were present at the ending stage were making their way to the waiting rooms, and this caused the structure to shake (theyre blaming it on the singers?? ),” “Luckily, the staff were able to support the structure in time and this preventing any casualties. This incident however has also raise the awareness of staff when dealing with safety of the stage. In the future, we will pay more attention to the preparation work for the broadcast.” Through saying this, they also implied their apologies.

On the 26th during the live broadcast of Music Bank, a giant lighting structure fell after the first place winner was announced. The production clarified that “There are no casualties” but that popular group SHINee’s member Onew had fainted, shocking fans in the midst. The manager had quickly carried him back to the waiting room and after a quiet rest, he was sent to the hospital for further checks in order to prevent any after-effects. He was said to be physically unhurt but had received a very big trauma psychologically. Some fans who were present have uploaded videos of the situation then online.

Prior to this, Onew had injured his ankle after slipping on the stage that was wet from 2NE1’s performance which used water. With regards to this, the production team said that they did clean the water from the stage but apparently had not handled it well, and that they would be more careful next time. However, the fanboard of the show as well as various fan cafes are still adamant that Music Bank give a formal apology, with the demand going very strong.

Some of the fans are incredulous and are trying to suppress their anger. “So this is an apology? Have them apologise.” Most f the fans pointed out that “The apology content is not sincere at all, it’s just superficial lies. We insist that they do a formal apology.”

Especially in the apology by Music Bank which states that “Because of the staff who were able to support the structure in time, there was no casualties”, the fans are even unhappy about it. The fans who were at the venue that day proved that “Some of the staff were only concerned about escaping from the structure themselves.” The fans also expressed that “While the staff members were busy trying to protect themselves, it was Super Junior members Siwon and Kyuhyun as well as members of 2PM who managed to support the structure in time.” They also said that “To spread lies like this is very displeasing.”

On the other hand, with regards to the singers who were injured through this incident, no apology was made, and this was enough to cause a public uproar. Aside from SHINee member Onew, Super Junior’s Sungmin had also injured his knee during rehearsal, but Music Bank had only mentioned Onew. Sungmin had injured his leg halfway through rehearsal after tripping on a stage prop. Even though he was sent to the hospital immediately to receive stitches, he still went on to perform on the live broadcast, displaying professionalism that had won him the praises of the audience.

Other than the fans, when pictures of the lighting structure that is almost as high as a single storey building were uploaded online, besides the comments about Onew’s fainting and well-wishes for him, there were many more comments of the negligence of the production team in checking the lighting equipment as well as the slowness in response from the staff that came under fire.

Being the hottest guy with the hottest body , well no.1 in the group of-course, Super Junior Siwon reveals the secrets to how he got body that every men wants.

Aired on KBSTV May 27, Siwon reveals how ‘To be the best at having a perfect body, and become the Idol on every Men’s Health Magazine.’

He shivered, ‘I only exercise.’ Yesung then revealed ‘The exercise he does is really hard and really tough for me.’ The accusation caused laughter amongst the members.

Siwon also revealed that eating the most delicious foods gives you the body and figure that you want. He also said its easy to see the strengths of the other members when the light is on them when performing on stage.

There have been many opinons on the appearance of Super Junior and SNSD on MBC’s ‘Music Trip Lalala,’ especially on their homepage bulletin board.

On the 25th, Super Junior and SNSD appeared on ‘Lalala,’ following the theme of ‘Sounds Like Teen Spirit.’ From Super Junior, Leeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Sungmin, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun performed, and from SNSD, Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, and Seohyun. Today, Taoyuan International Airport was an extremely lively and enthusiastic place. Two Korean idol groups, Super Junior and SS501 arrived at Taiwan at nearly the same time. More than a thousand fans gathered at the airport, exploding with sharp screams and cheers for more than half an hour. Some fans even disregarded their own safety and rushed onto the street just outside the airport, just for a chance to see their idols close-up. The scene was extremely dangerous, yet amazing at the same time.

The moment that Super Junior stepped into the main hall at the airport, the fans at the scene exploded into screams, one after another, and exhibited a completely crazed and chaotic state of mind. Even after the members left the hall, the fans still followed after closely, and almost got into a disagreement with the security guards. Super Junior At GMA

Super Junior is not only the guest performers for this year Golden Award Show but also an award presenter with Ariel Lin for the first award. But the glamour of these few guys are just too amazing, every movement of them will just make fans screaming away, this was lead to dissatisfied of the TV viewer who felt that the fans doesn’t have any manner.

This year, two sides of the red carpet venue were filled up with fans holding Korean languages signboard and these fans are here because of Super Junior. Once Super Junior arrives, fans on both sides were screaming their lungs out and all the fans were getting lesser and lesser when Super Junior was inside the hall, almost half of it was gone. Because almost half of the fans were there because of Super Junior.

Once the ceremony starts, the first group of people who came out as a presenter was Super Junior and Ariel Lin. Hangeng who was the speaker throughout the first award with Ariel Lin as he is the only one in Super Junior who can speak Chinese and the rest of the members just stood at the back. Viewers notice that expect for Hengeng, the rest of the members were chit chatting away at the back, pointing at the audiences, waving to their fans and so fans started to scream again.

Presenters voice was even being cover up due to those screaming and shouting by the fans which made the audiences and net surfer think that the fans doesn’t even have manners. But some believe that this are what fans are called with those screaming that they did. Super Junior who flew all the way from Korean to Taiwan which mean that they respect Taiwan too. Super Junior doesn’t have any other intentions but they just wanted to have good atmosphere.

Net surfer thinks that fans should try to clam down as they consider this as an important award show and not Super Junior concert or at least not to disturb the award show.

Park Inyoung (26 years old) caught the attention of the viewers when she came out on a special Star Family episode of MBC , and she will be co-starring in as 'Hyesoo' at Doore Hall 3.

Park Inyoung aka 'Hyesoo' (previously played by 's Jang Kyunghee, 's Sung Hyunjoo, etc.) is experiencing betrayal, has violently emotional ups & downs, and is a passionate Air China flight attendant. She's in love with a playboy, but she leaves said playboy without regrets for true love.

With a Drama Major in Chung-ang University, and in the midst of pursuing an acting career, Park Inyoung went through tough competition at formal auditions to be picked for the play , and fairly earned the female role.

Before performing, Park Inyoung said "Plays are truly entertaining, and since I received so much help from the other participants, I feel happy and ready," and "I'm still lacking in certain areas, but I'm preparing meticulously to show a perfect image once I'll be performing on stage."

Starting from July 1 until December 31, for a double casting of the duration of 6 months, Super Junior members are encouraged to visit during the performance as well.

Sungmin Injured

Super Junior SungMin has injured his knee.

He had fell down during the rehearsal for KBS 2TV Music Bank on 26th June and had hurt his knees.

A staff revealed that SungMin was helped offstage after the accident. A SM representative also added, “He was sent to the hospital for stitching after the accident.”

But even though he is injured, SungMin will still be performing on stage tonight on Music Bank. The SM representative said, “SungMin wanted very much to perform. So he will still be performing tonight as planned.”

Bizarre incidents continue on Music Bank. Apparently at the end of the broadcast where all the performers gathered on stage for the award, one of the light fixtures fell. The unfortunate person standing right below was Onew. Luckily, Super Junior members Shiwon and Kyuhyun were able to grab it before it hit him, but Onew was so shocked by the incident that he fainted and was carried backstage on one of the managers’ backs. In order to make sure everything was ok, he was taken to the hospital to be checked out. Earlier that day during rehearsals, Super Junior Sungmin tripped over a stage prop, fell, and cut his knee which required stitches. Music Bank needs to take a serious look into their safety measures.

Super Junior member Eunhyuk said when filming MBC “Fantasy partner” recently that “There are many members in Super Junior so that if I’m alone, people cant recognize me”.

Also on the show, Eunhyuk will talk about his incident just after debut, he went to a CD store to buy a CD and the shop assistant there didnt recognize him so he felt quite humiliated then.
